An ongoing concern in education is ensuring the validity of online testing. In short, how can we be sure students aren’t cheating and that the student who has registered for the course is the one actually taking the test? In order to be able to provide high-quality courses to our students, we need to be able to address this issue. The following is one method that our campus uses for this.
Respondus Lockdown Browser is a secure browser for taking tests in Canvas. It prevents students from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during a test.
A license is needed in order to download a public installer. The link in the comments directs to a specific customer's installer file, so it is possible that it is unique to them. Since our catalog enforces a hash check on each download - which is particularly needed for local content repo apps so that we can make sure we are selecting the correct file (as there's no UI to browse for the file), we would not be able to add this, at this time. You could potentially add this using our Custom Apps feature thought.
