I know there are a plethora of VC applications out there now, but it would be useful to detect the top ones and prevent update prompts from popping up while in a video conference - especially while screen sharing! (Similar to the behavior if you have Powerpoint full screen)

We currently detect if the user is in focus assist and will not present the notification.
There is an option in the manage conflicting process options to determine what should happen if the user is in focus assist.
Does this fulfill your request?
I am not sure we can otherwise detect if the user is presenting from arbitrary software.
