Hash validator within the Publisher UI

I'd like to request an extension to the Publisher UI within the Show package info window where we can offer the customer a button to 'test download': it would produce a UI while the Publisher performs the download twice: once as user of the UI and the other as the service. For both downloads, it would feedback web status code, hash of the download, and precise file size.

Many customers create proxy exceptions for system identities in AD and not users, and customers are often confused when they can download content in the browser as their user, but the Publisher's service cannot. A dialogue like this can prove helpful in this scenario and also as a quick test for determining if a vendor has released a new version or not.
