To bridge the gap between required and available it would be nice to have an installonce version of each intune app. This would allow admins to have software installed on a device, but allow uninstall.
The install script would need to set a registry key saying it was installed.
The detection method could look for the same as now, OR the registry key set above.
For instance if I wanted to have an application install once but not be required I could package it as a package and deploy via sccm. Nothing like this exists in Intune. Would it be feasible to have an install of an app that installs the app but does not force the end user to have the app installed. This could be done by having the install set a registry key and have the detection method check for the registry key or have the regular detection method. This would all removal of the application but also allow the app to be autoinstalled during autopilot.
Hello, thanks for request. I do not understand the request or its use case. May you clarify with more details please?
