OutSystems is a popular middleware product for some market sectors and automated update of the IDE would be useful

We tested all 3 applications listed in this thread. OutSystems publish major.minor.revision for each of the apps but only stamp the major.minor version in the uninstall hive in the registry. This makes it impossible for us to detect which revision has been installed. We will reach out to the vendor to ask them to adjust their versioning so clients can detect a revision change
Message to their support:
Hey, we were looking at the installer behavior for Service Studio, Development Studio and Integration Studio. When all 3 apps install, they only display the major.minor product version in the registry adn Add/Remove Programs - however you publish your releases with a major.minor.revision version. This makes it difficult to detect which actual version of the app is installed by simply looking at the registry.
Example:
We install Service Studio 11.53.23 but the registry DisplayVersion indicates 11.53 is installed. If I run the installer for 11.53.24 the registry still only indicates 11.53 for the DisplayVersion value
Can you please consider stamping major.minor.revision in the registry uninstall hive for the DisplayVersion value please? We cannot install the software because we cannot accurately detect which version is installed. Many Thanks, Ben
