Unfortunately is is not possible to add this app to our catalog at this time
The Global VPN Client is only downloadable in executable format. This appears to be a self extracting RAR file that does not support any, known, silent install switches. This makes it impossible to distribute throughout the enterprise - directly from the download URL, without first an admin having to extract the MSI.
If we were able to manually extract the MSI to distribute - we would then encounter another issue. The MSI uninstallation information is correctly stored in the "HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall" key. Unfortunately the MSI Product Code is not updated between releases which makes it difficult to track releases on the client. Another common way to track the version installed from that key is to look at the DisplayVersion String. Unfortunately, the Global VPN Client only includes the major.minor version information in this key. For example, version 4.10.7.1117 and 4.10.7.1424 both show the DisplayVersion as 4.10.7.
I have requested the following from SonicWall:-
An MSI version of the Global VPN Client is made available

Split request from original request. Original Idea is tracking NetExtender and this idea is tracking the Global VPN Client.
