With WebEx, each instance/site gets updated gradually. Not all sites are running version 39.8 yet. For example, I'm still running 39.7 and forcing an update will do nothing until my site is updated by Cisco.
Just a heads up. This is the message received when trying to update Webex meetings through the app itself. Does 39.8.0.854 need to be manually installed?
We started running some in-depth testing on this product. It seems it won't successfully update previous versions unless the previous version is manually uninstalled before the latest MSI is run.
In our test, the new update fails with the following line in the MSI:
Property(S): AppRunning_Warning = You must close the following applications before uninstalling Cisco Webex Meetings Desktop App:
Logs attached. Please let us know if anyone knows a command line or option that allows the upgrade to auto-remove previous versions successfully only using the latest MSI.
Uninstallation must use the original installation package for the first time, even when the Webex Meetings desktop app gets updated to a later version after mass deployment. If there are multiple versions, you need to perform an uninstallation for each version currently installed

No that is directly through the webex app. Do you know when 39.8 was released?
Hmm, we haven't seen that before. Are you maybe pointing to some custom update server?

We will be marking this as INCOMPATIBLE for now.
