Recast doesn't provide a publish download for the installer is the issue.
This would be nice to have. Looks like I am out of votes.
It's not the detecting of new updates via release notes. It's more the no public binary. If we get enough votes, we could evaluate having an offline option like Java. I will mark this back as submitted, but it will need to get pretty popular to be up-front. Support offline content requires a lot more work on our end for each update available for a product.
So.. as I understand the issue.. recast will not provide you with a way to detect when a new version is available? can you simply mine the url.. https://releases.recastsoftware.com/
I am fine with manually download.. like java..
as a last resort people will download it manually just as java...
maybe we can ask them if they are willing to make it available?
Marking this as no go, Recast requires you to submit a contact form to receive a unique download URL. We were unable to get a URL to the MSI to use without authentication.
I just wanted to let you all know we haven't forgotten about this request. We are working through some others at the moment that more unique customers are following. If any others come across this idea, please vote it up if it's one you would like to see added.
