Management would like to be able to track the number of installations (updates, configmgr apps, and Intune updates and apps) that were realized using one of Patch My PC's generated item.
This would be useful to demonstrate that (1) Patch My PC can be used to update a large number of assets faster that using the built-in auto-update mechanisms by every products when doing a side-by-side comparison on a pool of devices, and (2) provide evidence that acquiring/renewing a Patch My PC license is justified.
I think we kind of get that already with the Powerbi reports if you are relying on WSUS and SCCM...

I just implemented this as I'm getting similar questions as you.
So far not impressed with the glazed looks I get when showing this off.
