I reached out to Kramer, and they told me that this new versioning of 1.x.x.xx This their new standard, it should not change, and the versions will go up from here.
Detecting older versions for applicability for updates will be difficult because they started with version 2.x-4.x, then they reverted to version 1.x in the latest two versions.
