When CI's are downloaded over a CMG, BITS will sometimes fail to download the CI if the base64 length of the icon in the application xml exceeds 40k. Having the option to reduce the size of icons from 256px to 110px should go some way to alleviate this problem
Thank you - we've read and noted this Feature Request. We triage and stack rank based on customer demand (Vote counts), resourcing and other factors and will update the status if/when this Feature makes progress.
This issue was raised a long time ago and, after much discussions with Microsoft, I discovered it was caused by BranchCache
Disable it on your primary site server or which server is hosting WSUS and PMPC
I have already reduced all our PMPC Application icons on 9-Oct-2023 to 110x110x32 at roughly 7-15 kbytes. This CMG issue persists, and I think it's because your detection script is 46kbytes in size.
