Currently in the Publisher console, when enabling the "Send Email Reports", the customization for the message are pretty basic: change the subject field of the email message and add a string of text before the report itself.
We would like to have the ability to customize the whole report:
remove the giant Patch My PC header with links to PMP's website;
remove server names and info about the licensing;
add our own company logo;
translate the message content.
That would allow us to generate a template that is better suited for our organization and internal distribution.
At this time, Patch My PC Publisher does support email alerts for key events (such as synchronization results), but the email message content itself is system-defined and not fully customizable.
Administrators can configure how alerts are delivered (SMTP, Teams, or Slack) and who receives them, but the subject line and message body are generated by Publisher and cannot be edited or replaced with a custom template today.
We understand that some customers would prefer more control over alert formatting and messaging, and this is valuable feedback. If message customization is a requirement in your environment, a common workaround is to route alerts to a downstream system (for example, a mail relay, transport rule, Power Automate workflow, or Teams workflow) where the message can be reformatted or enriched before delivery.
I’m happy to share this feedback with our product team and keep you posted on any future enhancements in this area.
Same feature request for the Teams/Slack webhooks. Ability to hide server name is a big one. ++1 for translations.
