When configuring the global "ConfigMgr Apps Options" if you select the option to update existing application in-place there is a sub-option to "Delay in-place application upgrade by..."
This sub option seems to only be available at the global level for all applications.
It would be nice if at the application level when choosing "Update exisiting application in-place" we could set this Delay setting.
the picture labeled "Global" is what we see when setting global application settings
the picture labeled "Application_level" is what we see when looking at these settings at the application level
We understand the request to make the “Delay in-place application upgrade by…” setting configurable at the application level, rather than only at the global ConfigMgr Apps Options level. Being able to control upgrade timing more granularly for specific applications is a scenario we know can be valuable, especially for apps with higher change sensitivity.
I'll share your feedback with our Product Team so they can review the idea and evaluate whether this is something we can take on in a future release. We’ll assess it alongside other requests, technical considerations, and overall product direction.
We appreciate you taking the time to submit the idea and explain the use case — feedback like this is extremely helpful in shaping future improvements.
Thanks again!
quick workaround for those that need to publish one app only, overriding the delay
