When creating a custom app in the portal currently the description box only supports 250 characters however it would be good if this box could support larger values. Also could you display how the text would look as the description box supports markdown.

Any update on this request? The 250 character limitation is very limiting when Intune itself supports up to 10,000 characters
This would absolutely help our staff be able to provide more in-depth descriptions as well as allowing us to use html markup in the descriptions for links to internal documentation.
Extending the description box beyond 250 characters and enabling a markdown preview would significantly enhance the usability and clarity of custom app entries. In many cases, we need to provide detailed instructions, context, or formatting that simply can't be conveyed within the current character limit. Markdown support is a great feature, but without a preview, it's difficult to ensure the output appears as intended. This improvement would streamline documentation and improve consistency across deployments. Looking forward to seeing this implemented!
Not sure if Microsoft previously has a limit of 250 characters. If they did that has changed, as now when you manually create an app in the Intune console the character limit is 10,000 characters.
I echo the need for this idea. We have a number of applications where the description is greater than 250 characters, and we either have to pair it down or abandon using Custom Apps and manually create the application in ConfigMgr.
