Unity Hub is used to manage Unity Projects, Unity Plugins, and different versions of the Unity Editor.
In regards to Intune, it's actually far more useful to support Unity Hub over Unity LTS as Endpoint Privilege Manager can be used to allow Unity Hub to install of any version of Unity Editor without requiring admin privleges. The software only receives infrequent updates and is generally forward and backwards compatible.
