Patch My PC Cloud - Data Center Option for Australia

Please provide the option to store my company's data in Australia too.

Want to acknowledge this request and assure you that we we understand the changing international landscape surrounding data sovereignty.

Patch My PC Cloud was architected to seamlessly operate in any Azure region. However, each region we support incurs significant costs at all levels. This creates a bit of a catch-22 situation: we only want to enter regions that will have a critical mass of customers to make the costs worth it but we can't create that critical mass without first being in that region.

In practical terms, this means we are looking for a very large customer (100k+ devices) in Australia that is subject to specific data sovereignty rules. If that's you, please reach out to our sales team.

In the meantime, we remain fully committed to our on-prem Publisher and continue to invest in it. In part because we know that it fulfills the needs of customers who need tight control over their data.

Many Australian Government organisations have strict data residency and sovereignty requirements. It would be beneficial if Patch My PC provided an option to store and report on application deployment, update, and compliance status entirely within the customer's Intune/Microsoft tenant.

This would allow organisations to build their own compliance dashboards and reporting solutions while ensuring operational and device compliance data remains under their direct control.

Yes, its proving a difficult sell to our Cyber team to allow this due to data residency requirements for Govt in Australia.

    Hi,

I'd appreciate some more context for this request. Is there a legal or compliance requirement for this request?

    Thanks.
