Support uninstallation, without the need to patch first

Currently, with both Patch My PC Publisher (OnPrem) and Intune Apps for Cloud (SaaS), to uninstall software on client devices, customers must first patch the software to the latest version before the uninstall assignment can happen for the "Intune Apps" (OnPrem) / "Install Apps" (SaaS) packages.

This is because (naturally) the package needs to evaluate as detected before the uninstall assignment knows there is anything to uninstall.

It wouldn't be a good idea to change Patch My PC's detection logic to anything other than "greater than or equals to" (what it is today), although using a different comparison operator, or having a more wide/permissive detection would make the uninstall experience/advice better.

Instead, I suggest when creating an uninstall assignment in Patch My PC, a new package type is made - "Uninstall Package". By design it must have very wide and permissive detection logic, used solely for the purposes of uninstalling software. Perhaps its detection script could search in the registry for DisplayName and other <RegistryDetection /> elements, and ignoring DisplayVersion. If there is a major version filter, perhaps include that.

This will make the advice we offer to customers for uninstalling software much simpler and an easier experience for the administrator.

FWIW: I think this is almost the exact solution as this item but with a slightly different use case:

That item is to help people move from one edition (ex. EXE, x64, language) to another. This idea is asking to support a wide range of uninstallers to remove a given app and all of it's editions/variants/versions from your environment.

This would be a real game changer, I would love the option to do this as without it, it makes life much more difficult.
