Allow the configuration of the Restart Grace Period from within the PMPC Cloud Portal. Can be useful for certain apps when setting assignments
Acknowledged, this is something we should add. When we do, we likely would add it to our templates feature to allow the creation of standardized defaults. Would be interested in feedback on that plan.
Something we are interested in as well, not many applications that require this, but those that do have a very jarring feeling when a forced restart occurs.
And my hope going forward is there would always be feature parity between templates and manual deployments.
Should make it happen sooner rather than later
Definitely a useful feature in our org. Ability to have this control for forced reboots. Even as a failsafe for admins, it adds to peace of mind. Ideally not just as a template but granular control too per-app option.
In regard to the admin response, it should definitely be in the templates for us to configure. That won't help the applications that currently exist, however, which is a bummer.
With the on-prem Publisher, I was able to set the available, deadline, and restart grace periods for ALL of our Intune Updates being synced up. With the cloud console, this is something I have to do individually.
The restart grace period is exceedingly important in our environment, as we have machines that are sensitive to reboots not defined by strict schedules and warnings. We need this functionality back.
It would be nice if we can set it as a top-level configuration, like we did with the on-prem Publisher, and as a bulk action to configured it for all existing deployments as well.
