If an application was deployed previously (as patch or even as uninstall), because it was discovered, you will never see, when you can remove it from deployment, as it just gets deleted from discovery. So you keep deploying unneeded apps forever.
you run the discovery and it tells you: I found $App on two devices
So you deploy the update or even the deinstallation of $App
But if discovery doesnt find any more $App on your clients, it does not tell you so by "# of installs = 0", it is just removed from the discovery list. So you have no idea, that you could delete the deployment of $App
May you provide more detail? I don't understand what you're reporting. In particular "you will never see, when you can remove it from deployment" is where I get lost.
