Similar to https://ideas.patchmypc.com/ideas/PATCHMYPC-I-5631 but not specific to only update rings, having the ability to assign deployments with exclusions will greatly assist with ensuring deployments are targeted appropriately.
Eg, we have Adobe Acrobat Reader deployed out to all users as available, but wish to exclude the deployment from the Adobe Acrobat Professional deployment group to reduce confusion & service desk tickets.
This idea will be marked as Shipped, as we support that functionality already:
Edit the deployment
Add assignment - available or required
Select the group you want to exclude.
Once you save the changes, the newly added Exclusion assignment will be added in Intune to that win32 app.

I was looking at editing an existing deployment to all users to add the group exclusions but couldnt find any option.
Is there any option for an existing assignment itself or does the assignment need to be recreated if an exclusion is now required?

We already provide the option to exclude certain EntraID groups, please see my screenshot below.
