The VPDeskLauncher is the official launcher for VPDesk, the rich client for Visual Planning. It was designed to eliminate the need to install JRE8 on your workstations and to enable the use of more recent and secure versions of Java.
Enhanced Security: VPDeskLauncher integrates a secure OpenJDK isolated from the system to limit any external malicious use.
Optimization: The Java environment is specifically configured for VPDesk and will be regularly updated to ensure the use of a reliable and up-to-date version.
VPDeskLauncher is compatible with WebSSO authentication mechanisms (SAML2, OAuth2). It also includes an embedded Chromium-based browser, ensuring full and efficient support for secure identification processes.
Since its launch in December 2018, VPDeskLauncher has been available free of charge for all clients with a valid maintenance or hosting contract.
Which environments does it support?
Windows: VPDeskLauncher is provided as an installation package (.msi), simplifying the deployment of Visual Planning in Windows environments. This version is certified.
MacOS: It is available as a mountable disk image (.dmg) for quick and intuitive installation. This version is also certified.
