It is useful because there might be something we want back for example a license code that doesn't work on the new version. Lots of people can benefit from this. The way on how it should work is when you click on the three dots to open the UI on the app like Reinstall or Disable Auto-Updating, it should show a button called Rollback to Old Version and then it restores the old version for you.
