I have a desktop PC that I mostly use as a document repository via a network share. And because that PC is usually unattended, it is highly unlikely that I will see a PMPC outdated app notification. By the way, I think the current 10 seconds is the right amount of time for the notification to display before it clears itself.
However, if the PMPC notifications were to persist in the Windows Notification Center that would be very helpful, because I wouldn't have to launch PMPC to see that there are outdated apps. Which after all is the objective of the notifications.

Ah, hah! I just noticed that tonight - that the display time can be set to "Always." That should work on the PC that is usually unattended. But it would be nice if the notifications could be moved to the Windows Notification Center. :-)
We added an option for changing how long the notification appears. You can also set it to not go away. We are thinking about the ability to use windows notification center, but haven't started that work.![]()
I would like to add a 2nd rationale for adding the PMPC notification to the Windows Notification Center.
Last evening, while watching a football game on my laptop via YouTube TV in Chrome, I got a PMPC outdated app (Chrome again 🙂) notification, which overlaid the football game. And because the PMPC notification repeats until the app is updated, I had to stop watching the game to update Chrome and relaunch Chrome and resume watching the game - not the end-of-the-world, but not ideal.
To summarize, if the PMPC notification would trigger (once) and then register and remain in the Windows Notification Center, the user can run the update at a time when it's convenient to the user.
