Currently, local IT staff teams are granted permissions in Microsoft Intune using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) with scoped device access. This is in scenario when company is managed within one tenant and there is several country locations where local IT staff have limited access in Intune only to devices from their country. This means they can only view and manage devices specified by scope tags configured in RBAC settings.
Request:
Is Patch My PC planning to implement scoped access for Advanced Insights and Reports within PMPC? The goal is to ensure that users who have delegated RBAC permissions in Intune can only view reports for the devices assigned to their respective scope tags. This would align reporting visibility with existing Intune RBAC configurations and maintain compliance with organizational access control policies.
Business Justification:
Enhances security and compliance by preventing unauthorized visibility of devices outside a user’s scope.
Aligns PMPC reporting capabilities with Microsoft Intune’s RBAC model for consistency.
Supports organizations with distributed IT teams and delegated administration models.
