Odyssey is a data logging software for use with hardware developed by the company pf the same name. used for environmental research in AU/NZ

    When installed, the installer puts hard coded .lnk files in the public desktop, but they refer to the location where the files would be if installed per-user. to rectify this, a pre-created correct .lnk file needs to be made and placed in same dir as .msi

    copy '.\Odyssey Data Logging.lnk' C:\users\Public\Desktop\ -Force

    copy '.\Odyssey Data Logging.lnk' 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Odyssey\' -Force

    Remove-Item C:\users\Public\Desktop\Odyssey.lnk -Force

    Remove-Item 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Odyssey\Odyssey.lnk' -Force
