Currently, an update notification only appears if there is a conflicting application running. It would be very helpful for end user visibility if we could set certain applications to always show a notification before updating, even if no conflicting process is running. This could then allow users to defer an update if they know they are about to use the software and prevent potential issues or confusion when an app updates without the user knowing.
