I've had a use case come up when packaging R for Windows. My app data analyst needed to use version 4.3.3 because he wanted it to match the version supported by Power BI.
The request is to either allow us to upload different application versions, even if they are older, to align with production requirements, or to allow PMPC to choose the version from a drop-down menu prior to deploying the application.
It would also be beneficial to list the possible CVE alerts for the version in the drop-down menu in order for us to understand the risk.
