It would be very useful if Advanced Insights could identify and report on locally installed AI agents, AI assistants, and AI-enabled desktop applications across the estate.
As AI adoption grows, organisations need visibility of which AI tools are being installed on endpoints — especially where they may be introduced outside normal governance processes. This would help with Shadow IT detection, governance, security, compliance, and duplicate tooling identification.
A useful enhancement would be the ability to:
Detect known AI-related installed applications
Classify them as AI tools / assistants / agents
Report on device count, versions, and trends
Highlight unapproved or newly emerging AI software
Support approved vs unapproved AI governance reporting
This would be a natural extension of Advanced Insights’ existing software inventory capabilities and would help customers better understand AI adoption across managed devices.
