Every time I use this program, it adds itself to start at Windows start; I DO NOT WANT IT TO!! Yet the heavy-handed ignoring of my settings is pretty annoying. Don't act like Microsoft or Apple and just change my settings because I couldn't possibly understand what I want or need. I am about to give up on this pretty nice program because of it and try another updater.

Could you confirm are you specifically talking about the build-in self-update task for Patch My PC itself? If so, that is enabled at startup of the application.
If you are talking about the scheduled task to update other apps you can disable that via our scheduler?
