Native Microsoft Store App Management in Patch My PC Cloud

Business Problem

Patch My PC Cloud provides a centralised platform for application deployment and management, however Microsoft Store (new) applications must still be created and managed directly in Intune.

This results in:

  • Administrators switching between PMPC Cloud and Intune.

  • Application management being split across multiple consoles.

  • Inconsistent deployment processes and governance.

  • Fragmented reporting and visibility.

  • Additional operational overhead for cloud-managed environments.

Proposed Solution

Introduce a Microsoft Store Applications section within Patch My PC Cloud, enabling administrators to discover, create, deploy and manage Microsoft Store (new) applications from a single interface using Microsoft Graph.

Key Capabilities

Microsoft Store Discovery

  • Search and import Microsoft Store applications directly from PMPC Cloud.

  • Display key metadata such as publisher, version, category and Store Product ID.

Application Creation and Deployment

  • Create Microsoft Store (new) applications directly from PMPC.

  • Configure assignments, deployment intent and requirement rules.

  • Support existing PMPC deployment workflows and deployment rings.

Unified Application Management

  • Manage PMPC, Custom, winget and Microsoft Store applications from a single catalogue.

  • Provide consistent filtering, assignment and reporting experiences across all application types.

Reporting and Visibility

  • Include Microsoft Store applications in deployment reporting and compliance dashboards.

  • Surface installation status, assignment information and update visibility.

Benefits

For Customers

  • Single pane of glass for application management.

  • Reduced administrative effort.

  • Consistent deployment and governance processes.

  • Improved reporting and visibility.

For Patch My PC

  • Enhanced PMPC Cloud capabilities.

  • Increased platform adoption and retention.

  • Stronger positioning as the primary application management solution for Intune environments.

Success Criteria

  • Administrators can discover, deploy and manage Microsoft Store applications without leaving PMPC Cloud.

  • Microsoft Store and Win32 applications are managed through a consistent experience.

  • Organisations can standardise application lifecycle management regardless of application source.
