Many applications have rings of alpha users on the latest version and all other users at N-1. In our org, this is most pertinent to Zscaler. With PMPC, only "latest" is currently available, so newly-deployed devices may deploy a too-new version, and other devices that are not permitted to update yet will show as failed in Intune reporting. An N-1 ring would solve this.
We are not planning on making an "N-1" release for ZScaler at this time, however I found this idea which may partially solve this issue for you. I'm interested in your thoughts on if that would resolve the issue? https://ideas.patchmypc.com/ideas/PATCHMYPC-I-4206
