mitmproxy is an interactive HTTPS proxy used to inspect, intercept, and analyze HTTP/HTTPS traffic between client applications and servers. It is useful for troubleshooting application and network communication issues, analyzing requests and responses, identifying connectivity or configuration problems, and validating application behavior.
The primary users would be application developers, application support teams, endpoint/IT support teams, and other technical/engineering teams who require HTTP/HTTPS traffic analysis for application troubleshooting and debugging. It would not be intended for general end-user deployment and would instead be targeted to specific authorized users through Intune.
We would like mitmproxy to be added as a supported application in the PMPC catalog so that we can publish and manage it through Microsoft Intune and make it available to authorized users through the Company Portal. We would expect the PMPC package to support silent/unattended installation and standard application update management so that mitmproxy can be maintained through our existing PMPC/Intune deployment process.
This would also help us standardize the deployment and ongoing maintenance of mitmproxy rather than manually packaging and updating the application in Intune.
We have currently packaged and deployed mitmproxy manually through Intune for initial testing. We would prefer to have it available through PMPC to standardize deployment and simplify ongoing version/update management.
