Frequently the update prompt is triggered by some minor event that does not affect the persistent validity of the current version level. Usually this reflects on the right-side numbers of the overall version code (the first two level remains the same). Making it possibile to establish an update prompt trigger based on what level of change has taken place would save us a lot of useless download and update activity.
