Publishing service - different notification for success vs error
Merged
Currently have the publishing service set to post to a Teams channel (yay!).
However, it would be ideal if it was possible to have it say fire an email or the like when the publishing service hits an error (say for hash mismatch, or need to grab local content)
Talked to Damien of Discord. The use case is failures in Teams messages can easily be overlooked. The use case is a new checkbox in the SMTP email options that says "Only send emails when a publishing error occurred". When enabled only publishing operations for failed updates/apps and local content files not found will be emailed.

Yes; that's probably the way to do it. "Post to Teams channel if success; if error send email"
This way the Teams channel makes a nice record/log of what was added/updated when and emails for "oops something broke you need to act on it"
This would happen today if SMTP email options are enabled. Are you looking for a checkbox to say only email if error(s) occur?
