this could be very usefull at least for mission critic updates in a vpn connected environment for instance to detect any network/security/vpn related app maybe based on https://deploymentresearch.com/detecting-wired-wireless-and-vpn-connections-using-powershell/
the most useful scenario for us would be that pmpc show the close/kill app/process popup notification for the vpn app update if a vpn connection is active so users can decide if they want to risk the update when connected to the vpn or skip the update when using the vpn...
would be awesome if something like https://github.com/DeploymentResearch/DRFiles/blob/master/Scripts/DetectNetworkType.ps1 could be built into... maybe add it as an option under "Manage conflicting processes"?

this in connection with pmpc user toast style notifications so the user can take action accordingly if he using the vpn connection at that moment... to still install/update the app or not
