Add Microsoft Teams for VDI

Would allow us to always deploy the latest version to our WVD hosts from ConfigMgr. Also would enable automated patching through PatchMyPC and ConfigMgr.

In a non-persistent Citrix environment, this seems to me to be the missing solution on PatchMyPC in a ProgramFiles installation context on AllUsers = 1

i think the option to create multiple versions of the app will eventually come :)

Deploying the Microsoft WebRTC takes a regular installation of Microsoft Teams and makes it a Microsoft Teams for VDI. With all the optimizations that are needed. Microsoft WebRTC is already available in the PMP client right now.

Yes, this is needed to patch and update our WVD or other non-persistent VDI hosts and desktops. The ALLUSER=1 is all that is needed. Since we cannot create multiple versions of a single application via ConfigMgr Apps, I need 2 application objects in SCCM for Teams, the regular one and this one that will install per-machine. Installing over the existing install automatically upgrades it in our experience.

If you add the parameter ALLUSER=1 via the right click Modify command line to Microsoft Teams, this allows install on VDI hosts. More info here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-for-vdi

I also recommend you read this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/msi-deployment#pc-installation

Do not use the MSI to deploy updates, because the client will auto update when it detects a new version is available from the service. To re-deploy the latest installer use the process of redeploying MSI described below. If you deploy an older version of the MSI package, the client will auto-update (except in VDI environments) when possible for the user. If a very old version gets deployed, the MSI will trigger an app update before the user is able to use Teams.
