    Hi, We user SCCM for general Windows patching. Our situation is that we have quite short "Maintenance Windows" for our servers. We want to reserve these short MWs to critical patches, that most often require a reboot. One way to offload these MWs would be to exclude the MSRT from this window and do the installation as an Application, which we think would be more flexibel for us.

    May you help us understand why you need this deployed as a separate application and updated using third party updates? Microsoft generally releases Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool monthly as part of Windows Update, including WSUS and Windows Update for Business.
