Patch My PC does not support portable applications or zip files that simply extract a set of files at this time because they do not create reliable detection points. They do not generate an Add/Remove Programs (ARP) entry or any consistent registry footprint. Without an ARP entry, there is no dependable way to detect the application's presence or version, making automated patching unsupported.
Would also support this, especially as FFmpeg (and HandBrake) are relatively often used in professional environments for tasks such as video transcoding, format conversions, and optimizing media for distribution.
Good suggestion, and it's an MSI!
But I'd like to see what builds other customers are deploying, since we'd need to be able to detect and patch specific installers.

It looks like all of the builds shown on the main site are just zipped binaries. We require installers that log an Uninstall registry key to be compatible with Patch My PC. If anyone has a link to a suitable installer, please post here and we can reconsider it!
