From time to time, we run into a situation where a regular or critical update is published which then supersedes a "Security Update." Our request would be to allow customer to specifically select the "Update Classification" (Security, Critical, Updates) for each update and application published by PMPC.
Was wondering if this idea could be reviewed again. To clarify, the desired result would be to customize application/update superdense based on updated classification. This feature would be extremely beneficial for customers who are mandated to maintain strict version control (especially those of us in the Fed sector). For example, if customer only wants the security updates for Google Chrome, PMPC would recognize that and ONLY supersede the current Chrome update/application when a security update is released. This would prevent a security update of the specific software the customer selects from being superseded (and eventually expired) by a non-security update.
