Best translation app.
Patch My PC currently uses the DisplayName and DisplayVersion values from Add/Remove Programs (ARP) for its detection scripts. Unfortunately, DeepL does not include a DisplayVersion entry in ARP, which prevents our standard detection from working.
We’re actively working on backend enhancements to support file-based detection and custom detection scripts. In the meantime, you can use our Custom Apps feature, which supports custom detection logic.

Scappman migration and this app is not in PatchMyPC.
we need this, scappman had it
If you’ve upvoted this idea:
Go open a ticket with DeepL support and ask them to:
- Register a version number in ARP like a sane Windows app
- Offer a proper offline installer or at least a published full package
- Follow modern app deployment standards - not just hacky workarounds
PMPC can’t fix the installer - only DeepL can. But they won’t unless enough of us make noise.
Polite pressure works. Let’s apply some. 😈
Hi. Are we able to re-think about DeepL?
Please see the folowing link, maybe it helps a lot.

Would be great to get DeepL supported by PMP. :-)
Unfortunately, this app is a no-go. The DeepL app does not include a Version number in the uninstall reg key (ARP entry) which our detection scripts rely on.

Is DeepLSetup.exe an "online installer"? Online installers generally download more content from the vendor in order to complete the install. If so, does the vendor provide a direct offline installer that's downloadable from the vendor's website as a standalone exe/msi? Without needing to call DeepLSetup.exe?
I believe the installation file is always available on https://www.deepl.com/en/app/
