Hi,
Thanks so much for the accessibility work you did last time I contacted you, it is much appreciated.
We recently purchased the product and I now have some long-term accessibility thoughts.
In the treeviews, there is no way to tell whether an application is checked or not. The only way I have found to do this with applications is to use the configuration manager scan wizard and scroll down the list in there which isn’t ideal. Obviously there is no way to do this in the updates tabs.
In the schedule tab, there is no way to arrow to the different options e.g. hourly, daily etc, this has to be done by pressing e.g. “H” for hourly, which is not ideal as if you didn’t know that you would have thought the only option was daily.
If you right-click an application and choose to view the command line parameters, URL etc this does not present itself in an accessible way that can be viewed easily; at least with JAWS. It is somewhat usable with NVDA but again this isn’t ideal.
In the SSRS report installer screen, the textfields are not labelled.
Thank you for noticing! Yes, we are making incremental progress with the Publisher's Accessibility (A11y) compliance. We've recently started tracking all UI/UX items that are A11y related and bundling them into a Feature we plan to deliver in the near future.
With the New Publisher UI (currently in Private Preview, scheduled for Public Preview soon) we'll be in a great position to eliminate several A11y issues and much closer to our WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 AA target.
