recover deleted update

when making a mistake like deleting an old update we still needed... would be nice if there was a possibility to restore it since the source/cab file seem to still be there.

Hey Claudio, you can run the WSUS Cleanup Wizard to remove the old updates in the WSUSContent folder. We are going to look at adding a process to help automated this in a future build.

Im wondering now... if even trough deleting updates in the wsus console wont delete the files will this not cause disk space issues in the future. How to safely do the cleaning?

I deleted the update in the wsus console but the content seems to be still in the wsuscontent folder... in this case jre 8 201. Since then it was superseeded by 211 and now 221. But if i understood this correctly i may recover that 201 updated and republish it using that feature... nice i will give it a go tomorow. We really need to go back to that 201 and later version will have to wait

Hey Claudio, we designed the republish feature specifically for this scenario. Please let me know if this helps? When, Why, and How to Republish Update(s) - https://patchmypc.com/faq-scup-catalog#republishing-updates

So, you are saying in the event you delete a software update from the <Modify Published Updates Wizard> in the advanced tab you want to be able to have it publish again as a software update to WSUS/SCCM?

Are you talking about deleting a software update or application?
