In our particular situation we are on a monthly patching cadence for the firm, but an ongoing (bleeding edge) for test systems. So, we run the Publishing Service Sync each morning at 1am. At 3pm on Patch Tuesday, our ADR for monthly patching fires off. With this configuration, I've noticed that if any patches are released after 1am on Patch Tuesday they get missed by our monthly ADR, and I need to manually add them to our monthly SUG the next morning.
I added the sync command to a powershell script and now run it as a scheduled task at 7am and noon on on Patch Tuesdays, but it would be helpful if that level of customization were built into the app.
