Rufus is a tool that helps to create bootable USB drives, such as USB keys, memory sticks, etc.
It can be particularly helpful in the following cases:
You need to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.)
You need to work on a system that does not have an operating system installed
You need to flash a BIOS or firmware from DOS
You want to run a low-level program
Unfortunately we cannot add Microsoft Store apps to our catalog yet as the Publisher does not support installation or detection of MSIX packages. Supporting MSIX packages is something we plan on adding in the near future (roughly 3-6 months)
You can also get the Rufus app from the Microsoft store, and have it update automatically when a new version is released. I have done this, and created an app in Intune so that it will always auto update (as long as you have configured the Microsoft Store apps to auto-update as well, that is).
Unfortunately, we will be unable to add Rufus to our catalog because this is a portable app. This app does not include an uninstall registry key (ARP entry) which we use for detection (including a DisplayName and Version number)
