Any update? Due to the frequent VS Code Updates it would really help a lot, if we could automate the deployment via PMP
DMG Support has been released by MS => https://code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_109#_dmg-image-for-macos . Would be great if you can integrate the package into PMP now. Thank you!

-> Please upvote this Visual Studio Code pkg installer request by adding thumbs up. Hopefully it makes Microsoft pick it up more quickly from the backlog.
The guys over at IntuneBrew do have a pkg installer, maybe you get in touch with them.
Currently the vendor is only offering .zip files which we do not support at this time.
As one of the more standard IDE's, it would be great to see this on the roadmap soon!
