Enable OAuth Support for sending mails from O365

Basic Authentication has been deprecated in Exchange Online, so we need to have the ability to send mails through OAuth (Graph API)

SMTP Basic Authentication in Exchange Online will be disabled in September 2025 and the use is discouraged. It would be great to be able to use OAuth!

Hi, any news on this? Both Basic Auth and SMTP Auth were now fully disabled, no longer allowing sending mail via an Exchange Online mailbox without a relay.

Thanks for the info, we will keep this in mind. Seems basic auth SMTP will still be supported in the meantime.

This is needed for the Alerts (SMTP settings) where the service sends mails to users you specify.
Because you need to use Authenticated SMTP in Office 365, basic authentication is currently used to send the email.
Check out this blog post for more information about the deprecation of basic authentication in Exchange Online: https://365bythijs.be/2019/10/23/basic-authentication-is-being-deprecated-help/

For what feature within our service would you require this for?
