When I create custom Win32 apps in Intune (not managed by Patch My PC) and set dependencies on apps that are managed by Patch My PC (such as Visual C++ Redistributables or Edge WebView2), the dependency links break over time where they don't update to new versions of apps are updated by Patch My PC.
This happens because Patch My PC creates a new app in Intune with each update, and the dependency in my custom app still points to the old version.
It would be really helpful if Patch My PC provided a way to automatically update those dependencies to point to the latest version of the app.
Thanks for considering this. This would be nice for Publisher and Cloud.
This is already the behaviour of both Patch My PC Publisher and Patch My PC Cloud.
We will maintain the dependency relationship of child and parent Win32 packages in Intune, whether or not they are Patch My PC-made packages.
This is default behaviour for Patch My PC Cloud, however for Publisher, be sure to enable in Intune Win32 Application Options:
"Update application dependencies from previously created applications when an updated application is created"
