An API would be a very useful addition for any managed services provider. We very much hope that this proposal will be implemented.

Please add also the possibility to read configuration settings over API - e.g. read deployments and their configuration and assignments. We would like to present that information with PowerBI in a report to ensure consistency.

We have developed a custom web portal that automates Intune deployments for the Service Desk without requiring access to the Intune console. This portal can also be used to automate PMPC (Patch My PC) assignments by reading existing assignments or adding new ones to current deployments.

Why limit it to just custom apps?
as one from an MSP, I would love to see API opened for tenant onboarding, app assignments, and deployments editing.
as well as a get to the catalogue.

While incredibly powerful and useful, the Custom App feature is limited since it requires manual interaction in a GUI to create and update applications. This becomes much more burdensome the more custom apps you have. What I would like to see once Custom Apps is more mature is an API or PowerShell module that allows an administrator to automate creating/updating custom apps.

For instance, if my Dev team provides me with new installers for an internal application, it would make my life a lot easier if I could run a script or command that interacts with the cloud portal and provides the new installer file and updates all the relevant application information. Or even if I could create a Power Automate flow that looks for content added in a SharePoint document library which automatically interacts with the cloud portal to update applications.
