Microsoft has made several Media Foundation codecs. The only codec that is not always free in the store is the HEVC Video Extension. That one is $1 in the Microsoft store. However, there is also a free version of this codec available from K-Lite in the "Media Foundations" pack.
PMPC already supports the K-Lite Codec packs, I'm hoping that the Windows Media Codecs from K-Lite can also be packaged so that we can use their HEVC Video Extension.
This application is only available in the .appxbundle format. At this time, we support deployment of apps in .EXE, .MSI, or .MSP formats only.
