I was wondering if it would be a light lift to add the ability to search a 'Managed Device' by IP address. We're aware of the information inside the 'network' node of the device so I was hoping it'd be easy-ish to add. The need would be my network team asking 'what device is <ip address>' ... sometimes we can use nslookup depending on school district/setup ... sometimes I can review dhcp/dns to figure it out ... but would be super cool if I could just tell them 'go search in advanced insights!'
The Search now includes IP Address, so this should work in Advanced Insights for ConfigMgr now. Thanks!
Hi Chris, you can use the Advanced Insights Global Search feature near the top right to search for devices by IP Address (x.x.x.x) and even MAC address (XX:XX:XX:XX:XX)
